PROGRAMMING CIRCLE info
With the organizational re-structuring that we have started, the Programming Circle will, for the moment, assume 3 roles:
Be in charge of our Seasonal Celebrations, with immediate attention to the Jamaica Pond Lantern Parade.
Activate participation of our members in the organization’s operations by inviting people to join a ‘spontaneous action circle’. Meetings on Thursdays 7pm. We can start identifying and recruiting for ‘action circles’, each with a specific focus ( s.a. Building Maintenance, Building Rentals, SC's Ground Maintenance, Finance, Fundraising, Grant Writing, Media Connections, Website Maintenance, Sustainability, Celebrations, Special Events as well as the many different aspects of Programming).
Follow up on discussions around the AGORA /AHORA , a ‘Festival Market’ concept that we talked about earlier this year. It looks like Fridays could be the ideal setting to make this happen. Hopefully, a Friday Kitchen Circle will emerge so we can offer food.
We are looking forward to a productive year in which together we can work towards a sustainable future for our 'Village House' and the 'community cultural life' around it - united and empowered by Arts and Action for Building Community!
Hoping you can join us. If Thursdays don't work for you, there can be many ways to play a role in keeping Spontaneous Celebrations Alive!
