The UFE-Spontaneous Celebrations Golf Tournament
THANK YOU for making the first annual UFE-Spontaneous Celebrations golf tournament a success! We were so lucky with the weather – lucky that it was warm and sunny enough for Julie to take off her waterlogged shoes on the 5th hole!
We raised well over $6,000 combined for the two non-profits. Big thanks to Matt Hoffman (d/b/a WUNR 1600 FM and The Hoffman Companies) for the donation of Red Sox tickets and the round of golf at Belmont CC. The raffle alone raised over $1,600!
Thanks also to our hole sponsors – City Feed and Supply, Fresh Pond Capital, WUNR-1600FM, DBL Foundation, The Haven, East Cambridge Savings Bank, and Linda Muir-Robinson – for helping make the day possible.
And thanks to our staff and volunteers who were there to support the event: Sara Sargent, Jen Douglas and Eroc Arroyo-Montano (UFE), Linda Muir-Robinson (Spontaneous Board), and Alison Cassidy (Spontaneous volunteer and neighbor!).
In addition to the prize winners announced at the event*, I drew two additional winners – for a stylish Jamaica Plain t-shirt (Gerry Kirschner) and for a $50 gift certificate to City Feed and Supply (Andrew Kittredge).
Please talk up the golf tournament to other golfers you know, think about sponsoring a hole or a foursome, and plan to join us again next year (hopefully at Franklin Park in Roxbury/Dorchester).
