Building Rentals

Spontaneous Celebrations' building is a great venue for events of all types. We'd love to host your next event!

Space at Spontaneous Celebrations is available for the use of community members who are interested in hosting one time events and weekly or monthly classes. We have both large, public spaces and smaller ones suitable for meetings, classes, or other small gatherings available for rental. Capacity of the ground floor level is 100; second floor capacity is 150.

  1. Check availability: Check the calendar on the right to see if the time is available. Click the “Week” button for easier viewing.

  2. Confirm availability and cost: Fill out and submit a Rental Inquiry Form at the links below (new forms!) You will hear back from us as soon as possible with information on availability and cost. If you haven’t heard from us, please check your junk mail and e-mail SpontaneousCelebrations@gmail.com! We cannot guarantee rental space for inquiries received less than 48 hours prior to the event date.

  3. Sign contract: To confirm your rental, a signed contract is required. We will send this to you via Adobe Docusign in your e-mail.

  4. Payment: Once your booking is confirmed, you will be directed to pay for your event. You can do this by scrolling down on this page and choosing your event type and adding it to your cart and then checking out.

    • Public classes: Payment is required upfront, prior to the first class of each month.

    • One-time events: A $200 deposit is required. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the event.

  5. Access code: Once your payment is confirmed, you will receive an access code to unlock the building for your rental.

  6. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations within 2 weeks of the event date will not be refundable.

Pricing

  • Public classes: As of September 1, 2023, pricing is $33/hour for the downstairs space and $35/hour for upstairs, and $65/hour for the whole building. There will be a 50% discount for weekdays before 4pm from September through June.

  • One-time events: The rental fee for one-time events such as meetings, social gatherings, and fund raisers is $65 an hour Sunday-Thursday. On Friday and Saturday nights, there is a minimum $500 charge for 3 hours and $30 for each additional hour.

    • Licenses and Alcohol: Entertainment licenses are included in the Friday and Saturday fee listed above, otherwise its an additional $50 fee. To serve alcohol at an event is an additional $225 fee which includes a one-time alcohol license ($75) and 4 hours of licensed and insured bartending. Additional bartending hours may be purchased at $40 an hour.

    • Security Deposit: A $200 booking, cleaning and security deposit will be required. This will save your spot on the calendar and will be returned to you if the building is left in the same condition it was found and there are no complaints from neighbors. The balance will be required by 2 weeks before the event.

    • Cleaning Fee: If you would like us to do the cleaning for you, we charge $200

    • Event Security: An additional fee may be required if the nature of the event requires additional staff or extra security.
